The sports talk got excited and eventually turned to violence at a west side sports bar at closing time today, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police were called to the parking lot of the sports bar and cafe at the corner of Ingram and Loop 410 about 2AM Thursday on a report of a disturbance.
When officers arrived, they were told that several men 'took it outside' after the bar closed.
A man in his thirties was stabbed eight times and rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
Another man, 28, was severely beaten and was taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.
Two men who are believed to have done the damage sped away in separate cars.Police don't know what prompted the argument.
