Police think there is a connection between a bullet riddled SUV found on Wurzbach Parkway on the northeast side this morning, and a series of other events that quickly followed the discovery, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police found the SUV abandoned at Wurzbach Parkway and Perrin-Beitel about 3:30AM. When they investigated they found several bullet holes in the back of the SUV.
A few minutes later, police got a call from a man who told them he was driving down Wurzbach Parkway when somebody started shooting at him, and he ditched his SUV and ran off.
A few minutes later, police got a call from Northeast Baptist Hospital, where they reported a man in his late teens was being treated for a bullet wound in the leg.
And then, they got a call about a burglary at a Metro PCS store on Perrin-Beitel, not far from WUrzbach Parkway.
Detectives think all three of these events are related, but they have a lot of questions.
