Home Invasion Eyed in East Side Murder

Police say the case of a man who was gunned down inside his own home this morning may be a case of home invastion homicide, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Police were called to the 200 block of Marmock, which is on the East Side south of Commerce Street, about 3:30 this morning after a frantic woman called to report her husband was bleeding from a gunshot wound on the floor of their home.

By the time police arrived it was too late.  The man was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound to the head.

Officers said there were several children in the home at the time as well.  Nobody else was hurt.

Police put out a description of a man in his thirties that was seen running away from the crime scene.
