Police Hunt Shooting Suspect at North Star Mall

San Antonio Police surrounded North Star Mall for two hours this afternoon, looking for a suspect who may have fired at officers on Broadway, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

The presence of federal Marshals and Postal Inspectors on the scene indicated that the suspect may also be the person wanted for Saturday's shooting of a mail carrier in Spring Branch.

SAPD said their officers were assisting US Marshals.

Officers with rifles were seen around a mall parking garage where the suspect is believed to have fled.

The incident began about 2 PM when multiple reports of shots being fired came in from Broadway and Loop 410.

Officers followed a suspect in a Volkswagon to the North Star Mall area.

Nobody was reported to be wounded.
