Texas Rangers Asked to Probe Tom Brady's Stolen Jersey

Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick today asked the Texas Rangers to join the investigation in to the theft of Super Bowl winning quarterback Tom Brady's jersey, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Brady reported that the Number 12 jersey that he wore during last night's Super Bowl was stolen from the Patriot's locker room at NRG stadium following last night's game.

"In Texas we place a very high value on hospitality and football," Patrick said.  "Tom Brady's jersey has great historical value and is already being called 'the most valuable NFL collectible ever.' It will likely go into the Hall of Fame one day. It is important that history does not record that it was stolen in Texas."

Patrick says he has called Texas DPS Commander Col. Steve McCraw to ask that the Rangers be assigned to the case

."Whoever took the jersey should turn it in," Patrick said. "The Rangers are on the trail."
