Trump Defends Airstrike That Killed Iranian General

President Trump is defending the airstrike that killed a top Iranian military leader in Iraq. Speaking at his Florida resort, Trump said he ordered the strike to stop a war, not start a war. He called General Qassem Soleimani one of the world's leading terrorists. Trump said "we take comfort" in Soleimani's death. He stressed that Soleimani's "rein of terror is over." Trump also said he is ready to take "whatever action is necessary" if Iran retaliates. He argued that the Iranian general had a "sick passion" for killing innocent people.
