City staff will brief San Antonio city council on Thursday about a proposed multi-billion dollar sports and entertainment district. The so-called Project Marvel has been in the planning stages behind closed doors for a year and a half, and may include a new arena for the San Antonio Spurs. Assistant City Manager Lori Houston says the project in the HemisFair area may cost as much as $4 billion. No word yet as to how much of that may be paid for by public tax dollars.
