Bexar County's main jail has an overcrowding problem. Sheriff Javier Salazar says the county's Adult Detention Center is over capacity, and inmates are now having to be held at other facilities. The jail housed over 5,100 inmates, about 75 more than capacity. The sheriff says the recent overcrowding can be linked to an increase in violent crimes around Bexar County in recent months.
