Mavericks Down Spurs To Begin Season

Luka Doncic and the Mavericks knocked off Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs in the season opener for both squads. Dallas downed San Antonio 120-109 in a Southwest Division showdown at the American Airlines Center. Doncic finished just shy of a triple-double with 28 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists. Klay Thompson had 22 points while shooting 6-of-10 from beyond the arc to help the Mavs move to 1-and-0. They visit the Phoenix Suns tomorrow night.
