The German defenders of the Alamo are being remembered. In a special ceremony on Monday, a commemorative stone was placed inside the historic mission in honor of the two defenders who were from Germany. The stone came from Germany and was provided by the German Consulate in Houston. It underscores the cultural and historical ties between Germany and Central Texas. The event featured live performances of traditional German music.
