Bexar County election officials say the county is seeing record numbers of residents registered to vote in next month's election. Local voter registration is closing in on 1.3 million people. In a Thursday news conference, election administrator Jacque Callanen said 51 polling places will be open for early voting, another record number for Bexar County. Callanen is encouraging people to vote early in order to dodge the anticipated heavy turnout. Early voting starts Monday and ends on Friday, November 1st.
