The local firefighters' union is warning its members to keep their eyes open for a Venezuelan crime gang operating on the north side of town. President Joe Jones of the San Antonio Professional Firefighters Association sent an email on Wednesday to the organization's membership of nearly 1,800 firefighters and paramedics. Jones confirmed on Thursday that he was referring to Tren de Aragua, a Venezuelan gang with international operations. He said firefighters' uniforms may cause them to be mistaken for police.
