The Astros are set to take the field for their AL Wild Card Series. Houston will host the Detroit Tigers this afternoon in Game One at Minute Maid Park. Left-hander Framber Valdez is scheduled to start opposite Detroit southpaw Tarik Skubal. Valdez went 15-and-7 with a 2.91 ERA in 28 regular season starts. The Astros ended the regular season atop the AL West at 88-and-73. They won their fourth straight division title and seventh in the last eight years.
