Rangers Defeat Mariners In Series Finale

The Rangers snapped a three-game losing streak. Texas defeated the Seattle Mariners 6-5 at Globe Life Field. Leody Taveras went 3-for-4 with a home run, an RBI and three runs scored. Wyatt Langford hit his 13th homer of the year on a three-run shot in the sixth inning. Kirby Yates earned his seventh win after tossing a scoreless inning of relief. The Rangers have already been eliminated from playoff contention and are third in the AL West at 74-and-82. They travel to play the Oakland Athletics tomorrow night. Right-hander Nathan Eovaldi is set to start opposite Oakland righty Mitch Spence. In other news, Max Scherzer has been placed on the 15-day injured list and his season is now over.
