The longest running music television show ever will turn 50-years old next month. To mark the anniversary, Austin City Limits will welcome back their very first guest, Willie Nelson. Nelson's performance on the show's debut was recorded on October 17, 1974. So this coming October 17th, Willie Nelson and Family will perform at the show's birthday bash, along with Austin's own Asleep and the Wheel. The concert at the Long Center will be free, but those interested in attending will need to register for a chance to win tickets. Registration will close on Monday, September 23rd at 10:00 p.m. Winners will be notified next week. The performance will air on PBS early next year.
