Kash Patel on Assassination Attempt and Secret Service Failures

In a riveting interview with Joe Pags, Kash Patel tackled the concerning details surrounding the second assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump. Patel expressed disbelief that the alleged would-be assassin wasn’t apprehended earlier, despite openly advertising violent intentions. He tied this to what he calls the “weaponization of the intelligence community and the law enforcement community,” arguing that federal agencies are too focused on targeting Trump and his supporters rather than ensuring the safety of the former president and 2024 candidate.

Patel also pointed fingers at Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas, accusing him of failing to increase Trump’s Secret Service protection as promised. He explained how the FBI’s focus on political cases has detracted from legitimate threats, such as this would-be assassin who nearly succeeded in targeting Trump at his golf course.

Regarding the charges against the would-be assassin, Patel indicated that more serious charges are likely on the way. He explained that initial, lesser charges are often filed to get the legal process started, with more significant charges, including those related to violent crimes, following after.

Patel went on to criticize the DOJ for spreading misinformation, and he reminded listeners that Trump had indeed offered the National Guard for protection on January 6, a move that was allegedly rejected by both the mayor of D.C. and Speaker Nancy Pelosi. He concluded the interview with a call to action, emphasizing how crucial voting is in the upcoming election, saying, “Without you, we will lose.”
