Astros Shutout By Padres In Series Finale

The Astros were shutout in their series finale against the Padres. Houston lost to San Diego 4-0 in the final outing of a three-game set at Petco Park. The Astros were limited to just two hits and went 0-for-2 with a runner in scoring position. Starting pitcher Framber Valdez was tagged with the loss and is now 14-and-7 after striking out six through seven innings of one-run ball. The Astros remain atop the AL West at 82-and-70. They return home to host the Los Angeles Angels tonight. Left-hander Yusei Kikuchi is scheduled to start opposite LA southpaw Jose Suarez.
