Rangers Defeat Blue Jays In Series Opener

The Rangers put an end to their three-game losing streak. Texas defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 13-8 at Globe Life Field. Wyatt Langford went 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBIs and three runs scored. Leody Taveras also had a strong day at the plate, finishing 3-for-5 with a home run, two RBIs and a pair of runs scored. Matt Festa earned his fifth win after tossing one-and-a-third scoreless innings of relief. The Rangers are third in the AL West at 72-and-79. They host the Blue Jays again tonight. Left-hander Cody Bradford is scheduled to start opposite Toronto righty Bowden Francis.
