Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns are adding another playmaker to their 2026 recruiting class. Four-star safety Zelus Hicks has announced his commitment to Texas. Hicks is ESPN's top-ranked safety in the 2026 class and chose Texas over other programs such as Georgia, Ohio State and USC. The defensive back plays at Carrollton High School in Georgia and becomes Texas' third ESPN 300 pledge in the 2026 cycle.
