Bexar County D-A Joe Gonzales says he'll defend the Commissioners Court from a lawsuit by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. On Wednesday, Paxton sued the county commissioners after they approved a plan to mail unsolicited voter registration forms to unregistered residents. State law allows counties to mail applications only to voters who specifically request them. Paxton had warned the commissioners on Monday that he'd sue if they went ahead with the plan, which he says "invites election fraud."
