A family of hikers is recovering after they all had to be rescued in the mountains of West Texas. Authorities say two parents in their early 20s and their three-month-old infant were on a hike at the Guadalupe Mountains National Park when they ran out of water after several hours. Park rangers say the family began to show signs of exhaustion and dehydration. A rescue plane was called in and spotted the family, who were then pulled to safety by a helicopter. Authorities say the incident is a good reminder for families to make sure they are properly prepared for hikes, including packing plenty of water.
