The Astros were shutout on the road. Houston lost to the Philadelphia Phillies 5-0 at Citizens Bank Park. The Astros had six hits and finished the game 0-for-5 with a runner in scoring position. Starting pitcher Justin Verlander was charged with the loss and dropped to 3-and-4 after allowing four runs through five frames. The Astros have lost four of five and remain atop the AL West at 70-and-62. They visit the Phillies again this afternoon. Right-hander Spencer Arrighetti is scheduled to start opposite Philly righty Taijuan Walker.
