A federal judge in Texas is blocking a program that would give legal status to illegal immigrants married to American citizens. The Biden administration plan started earlier this month would have affected around a half-million immigrants in the country without legal status. The program was challenged by 16 Republican-led states. The judge blocked the program for 14 days Monday but the Department of Homeland Security can continue to accept applications in the meantime.
