Astros Lose To Phillies In Extra Innings

The Astros were handed a loss in extra innings. Houston fell to the Philadelphia Phillies 3-2 in a 10-inning battle at Citizens Bank Park. Josh Hader was charged with his seventh loss after he allowed a walk-off RBI single to Philly's Bryce Harper in the bottom of the 10th. Shay Whitcomb drove-in both of Houston's runs on a double in the fourth. The Astros have lost three of four and remain atop the AL West at 70-and-61. They visit the Phillies again this evening. Right-hander Justin Verlander is slated to start opposite Philadelphia righty Aaron Nola.
