Rangers Lose To Twins In Series Opener

The Rangers were handed a loss in their series opener against the Twins. Texas fell to Minnesota 3-2 at Globe Life Field. Adolis Garcia was 3-for-4 with an RBI, while Josh Jung also drove-in a run. Kirby Yates was charged with his second loss after allowing one run through an inning of relief. The Rangers have lost seven of their last nine games and sit third in the AL West at 56-and-66. They host the Twins again tonight. Left-hander Andrew Heaney will start opposite Minnesota righty Simeon Woods Richardson.
