Yainer Diaz and Yordan Alvarez propelled the Astros to a 6-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field. Diaz had a three-run home run while Alvarez was 2-for-5 with what proved to be the game-winning RBI. Alex Bregman added a solo home run as the Astros improved to 63-and-55. Starter Framber Valdez picked up the win with five-and-two-thirds innings of one-run ball and nine strikeouts. The Astros have won six in-a-row and sit atop the AL West at 63-and-55. They visit the Rays again tonight. Left-hander Yusei Kikuchi will start opposite Tampa Bay righty Shane Baz.
