The Rangers failed to pick up a win at home to cap off the weekend. Texas lost to the Boston Red Sox 7-2 in the finale of a three-game series at Globe Life Field. Josh Jung and Corey Seager each hit a solo homer in the setback. Starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi was charged the loss and fell to 8-and-5 after allowing five runs through five frames. He also had his franchise record streak of innings without a walk snapped at 43-and-a-third. The Rangers have lost four of five and are now third in the AL West at 53-and-59. They host the Houston Astros tonight. Left-hander Andrew Heaney will start opposite Houston righty Hunter Brown.
