The Texas Department of Transportation is warning of more weekend traffic headaches on the Northeast Side. TxDOT plans to close Loop 1604 both eastbound and westbound at I-35 to install steel girders. The eastbound and westbound exit ramps from 1604 to I-35 will also be closed, along with the ramps from I-35 southbound to 1604 eastbound, and from I-35 northbound to 1604 westbound. The closures start at 9 p.m. tonight and continue until 5 a.m. Monday. Police will direct traffic in the area.
