Texas Longhorns Announce 2024-25 Non-Conference Schedule

The 2024-25 University of Texas men’s basketball non-conference schedule was released today and features nine non-conference home games in the third season in Moody Center, including a marquee matchup against two-time defending NCAA Champion UConn. The slate also features a season-opening neutral-site contest against Ohio State in Las Vegas, two games as part of the Legends Classic at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, and a road game at NC State in the SEC-ACC Challenge.

The Southeastern Conference schedule has not been finalized at this time, although the league previously announced opponents along with home and away designations for the upcoming conference slate. Tipoff times and the complete television schedule for the 2024-25 season will be announced when available.

The Longhorns open the regular season on Monday, Nov. 4 with a neutral-site contest against Ohio State as part of the Hall of Fame Series Las Vegas Opening Night event. The doubleheader in Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena will include a South Carolina-Michigan women’s basketball matchup followed by Texas-Ohio State. The Longhorns will then play three consecutive home games in Moody Center against Houston Christian (Nov. 8), Chicago State (Nov. 12) and Mississippi Valley State (Nov. 16).

UT will participate in the four-team Legends Classic presented by Old Trapper at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Nov. 21-22 (Thursday-Friday). The neutral-site tournament also includes Syracuse, St. Joseph’s and Texas Tech. Pairings for the two-day event which will include semifinals (Nov. 21) and consolation/championship games (Nov. 22) have not been announced.

Texas will host Delaware State (Nov. 29) before traveling to Raleigh, N.C. to face 2024 NCAA Semifinalist NC State in the SEC-ACC Challenge on Wednesday, Dec. 4. The Longhorns will then close out non-conference action with five straight home games in Moody Center, highlighted by a matchup against UConn on Sunday, Dec. 8. Following the matchup against the Huskies, the Longhorns will host New Mexico State (Dec. 12), Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Dec. 15), New Orleans (Dec. 19) and Northwestern State (Dec. 29) before opening Southeastern Conference play on Saturday, Jan. 4.
