Rangers Lose To Cardinals

The Rangers were unable to record back-to-back victories. Texas lost to the St. Louis Cardinals 8-1 at Busch Stadium. Rookie left fielder Wyatt Langford hit his sixth home run of the season on a solo blast in the second inning. The Rangers finished the outing with four hits while going 0-for-2 with a runner in scoring position. Starting pitcher Max Scherzer was charged with the loss and dropped to 2-and-4 after allowing three runs through four frames. The Rangers have lost four of five to sit at 52-and-56. They visit the Cardinals again this afternoon. Left-hander Andrew Heaney will start opposite St. Louis righty Michael McGreevy.
