A new pedestrian bridge across the San Antonio River will connect the existing parts of the Pearl to new developments in the area. The Pearl is a mixed-use development featuring restaurants, retail shops, green spaces, offices, apartments, and a hotel. Developers plan to double the Pearl in size. The bridge will connect Hotel Emma on the east side of the river to the new Grove Hotel, which is still on the drawing board. The bridge will be opened to the public sometime later this year. So far it doesn't have a name.
