Biden In Austin Today For Speech About 1964 Civil Rights Act

President Joe Biden is scheduled to visit Austin this afternoon. Biden will deliver a keynote address at the LBJ Presidential Library. The occasion is the anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which President Lyndon B. Johnson signed into law 60 years ago this month. Today's visit is Biden's first public appearance since he dropped out of the presidential race a week ago Sunday. He will also stop by Houston today to pay his respects to Democratic Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, who died on July 19th.
