Astros Shutout By Athletics

The Astros were shutout in their series opener in Oakland. Houston lost to the Athletics 4-0 in the first matchup of a three-game set at the Oakland Coliseum. Jose Altuve and Jeremy Pena each had two hits in the setback. The Astros went just 1-for-6 with a runner in scoring position. Starting pitcher Spencer Arrighetti was charged with the loss and dropped to 4-and-8 after allowing four runs through six innings. The Astros have lost two in-a-row to slip to 52-and-48. They visit the A's again tonight. Right-hander Jake Bloss will start opposite Oakland righty Osvaldo Bido.
