The Rangers could not put an end to their losing streak. Texas fell to the New York Mets 7-6 in the second matchup of a three-game series at Globe Life Field. Josh Smith was 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs, while Corey Seager drove-in a pair of runs. Wyatt Langford hit his second home run of the year on a solo shot in the fifth inning. Kirby Yates was charged with the loss and dropped to 3-and-1 after allowing the game-winning run in the top of the ninth. The Rangers have lost five straight to sit at 33-and-40. They host the Mets again tonight. Left-hander Andrew Heaney will start opposite New York southpaw Sean Manaea.
