Texas A&M Plans To Install Nuke Power Plants On Campus

Texas A&M plans to install several small nuclear power generating plants on its College Station campus. The system's chancellor says the move can shore up the state's power grid while proving the safety of modern reactors. Texas A&M system Chancellor John Sharp says the state's demand for electric power is expected to nearly double over the next six years, and nuclear should be part of the solution. The university has one of the two largest nuclear engineering centers in the nation.
