Astros Lose To Giants

The Astros dropped their series finale against the Giants. Houston lost to San Francisco 5-3 in the final outing of a three-game set at Oracle Park. Yordan Alvarez was 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBIs and a pair of runs scored. Jeremy Pena also drove-in a run in the setback. Starting pitcher Framber Valdez was charged with the loss and fell to 5-and-4 after allowing five runs through four innings. The Astros have lost three of four and sit third in the AL West at 31-and-38. They return home to host the Detroit Tigers tomorrow night. Right-hander Hunter Brown will start opposite Detroit southpaw Tarik Skubal.
