Trial Scheduled For Teen Accused Of Stabbing Death Of Fellow Student

A trial is scheduled for a former John Jay High School student charged with the murder of another student. Jesus San Miguel is accused of the fatal stabbing of 18-year-old Joshua Kinnaman in April of last year. San Miguel was indicted in November and is out on bond. On Monday, a judge scheduled jury selection for September 27th, with testimony starting on October 7th. The defense attorney is working with prosecutors on a possible plea deal. If no deal is reached, San Miguel, if convicted, faces five to 99-years, or life in prison.
