Stars' Joe Pavelski Retires After 18 NHL Seasons

One of the longest-tenured NHL players is hanging up his skates. Dallas Stars forward Joe Pavelski announced his retirement from the league following 18 seasons. The Wisconsin native was selected by the San Jose Sharks in the seventh round of the 2003 Entry Draft. He went on to play 13 years with the Sharks, where he would become the team captain and total 355 goals and 406 assists across 963 games. Pavelski wrapped up his career by spending the last five seasons suiting up for the Dallas Stars. The one-time All-Star finished his career with 476 goals and 1,068 points.
