Rangers Lose To Tigers

The Rangers lost their series opener against the Tigers. Texas fell to Detroit 2-1 at Globe Life Field. Marcus Semien was 2-for-3 with a home run in the setback. The Rangers went 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position. Jose Leclerc slipped to 3-and-4 after allowing one run through two-and-a-third innings of relief. In other news, manager Bruce Bochy missed the game due to a scheduled personal matter. The Rangers are 29-and-31 heading into another meeting with Detroit tonight. Right-hander Dane Dunning will start opposite Detroit righty Jack Flaherty.
