Astros Fight Back Against Cardinals To Take Series Opener

The Astros fought back to beat the Cardinals 7-4 in their series opener from Houston. The team trailed 4-3 in the eighth inning until Alex Bregman hit a solo homer to tie the game. Yandy Diaz bashed a two-run homer to take the lead, and Jose Altuve added another run on a ground rule double. Yordan Alvarez also went deep for Houston, while Rafael Montero picked up the win in relief. The Astros are 27-and-34 heading into another meeting with St. Louis tonight. Right-hander Spencer Arrighetti is scheduled to start against St. Louis righty Andre Pallante.
