Rangers Lose To Phillies

The Rangers started out their road trip with a loss. Texas fell to the Philadelphia Phillies 5-2 in the series opener of a three-game set at Citizens Bank Park. Corey Seager hit his seventh home run of the season on a solo shot in the eighth inning. Marcus Semien also drove-in a run on an RBI double in the third. Starting pitcher Jon Gray was charged with the loss and is now 2-and-2 after letting up a pair of runs through five innings. The Rangers are 24-and-25 heading into another meeting with the Phillies this evening. Left-hander Andrew Heaney will start against Philadelphia righty Taijuan Walker.
