The state's Democratic and Republican Parties are gearing up for primary runoff elections a week from today. The primaries were held on March 5th, but any race in which no candidate received more than 50% of the vote will be decided in a runoff between the top two vote-getters. Early voting in the runoffs started on Monday and continues until Friday. The runoff on May 28th will select the last of the Republican and Democratic candidates who will compete on the November ballot.
