The city of Kyle is holding its annual "Gathering of the Kyles" on Saturday in another attempt to set the world record for the largest same-name gathering. The event needs to attract at least 2,326 Kyles to impress the Guinness Book of World Records. It's the city's fifth time trying to break the record. Last year, fewer than 15-hundred Kyles showed up. The current record belongs to a town in Bosnia-Herzegovina, where two-thousand-325 Ivans got together in 2017. This weekend's festival will be at Lake Kyle Park.
