Texas To Reimburse Border Landowners For Damage Caused By Illegals

Texas plans to reimburse landowners on the Mexican border for damage to their property by illegal immigrants, smugglers, and drug traffickers. Attorney General Ken Paxton opened the program on Thursday that will pay up to $75,000 for damage to structures such as fences or barns. An affected landowner must file a claim within 90-days of an incident, and include a police report that documents the damage. Paxton's office blames the problem on the Biden administration.
