San Antonio Water System CEO Robert Puente will receive a six-figure bonus for his performance at the city-owned utility in 2023. The chair of the SAWS board announced the bonus of more than $133,000 on Tuesday at the board's monthly meeting. She pointed out that the summer of 2023 was one of the hottest in years, resulting in a record number of water main breaks. Puente has been the utility's CEO since 2008. Prior to that, he was a member of the Texas House of Representatives.
