Athletics, Rangers Split Double Header

The Athletics and Rangers settled for a split in their double-header from Oakland. The A's took Game One 9-4 after Brett Harris, Brent Rooker and Shea Langeliers all crushed homers. JP Sears earned the win after throwing five-plus innings of four-run ball, while Michael Lorenzen earned the loss for Texas after giving up six runs over six innings. Texas bounced back with a close win in Game Two. The Rangers outlasted Oakland 12-11 after Jonah Heim drove in three runs. Texas remains first in the AL West at 22-and-17. The Rangers visit the Colorado Rockies tomorrow night.
