Commission Votes In Favor Of SpaceX Land Swap

Texas Parks and Wildlife commissioners are giving the green light to a land swap with SpaceX. The commission voted unanimously during a special meeting yesterday to move forward with the deal. SpaceX would exchange 477 acres of land near the Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge for 43 acres of land near the Starbase facility at Boca Chica Beach. An environmental assessment will have to be done and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will have to approve the deal before it can be completed.
