The Cowboys will need to replace another member of their defensive coaching staff. Dallas secondary coach and pass game coordinator Joe Whitt Jr. has accepted the defensive coordinator position with the Washington Commanders. Whitt will join Dan Quinn, who accepted the Washington head coaching job last week. The 45-year-old had served on the Dallas coaching staff since 2021.
