Texas and Washington are set to battle in the College Football Playoff semifinal on New Year's Day. The sides square off in the Sugar Bowl from New Orleans. The Number-2 Huskies finished the regular season 13-and-0 after taking down Oregon in the Pac-12 Championship on December 1st. Washington hopes to get a shot at its third national title with a win over Texas. Meanwhile, the third-ranked Longhorns ended the year 12-and-1 following a blowout win over Oklahoma State in the Big 12 Championship. The winner of the Sugar Bowl will advance to Houston on January 8th for the National Championship.
