New Year's Day World Population To Top 8-Billion

On New Year's Day, more than eight-billion people will be living on Earth. The U.S. Census Bureau said on Thursday the world's population grew by 75-million this year and it will be more than eight-billion on January 1st. The growth rate in the U.S. in 2023 was point-53 percent, which is more than half the worldwide growth rate of just under one-percent. The population of the United States grew by one-point-seven million people this year and the New Year's Day population will be slightly under 336-million.
